Project Paradise is a private villa compound in Costa Azul, Dominican Republic. This policy explains what personal information we collect from guests and prospective guests, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

Who we are

Project Paradise operates short-term accommodation and a recording studio in Costa Azul, Dominican Republic. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Project Paradise. Information we collect

We only collect what we need in order to answer enquiries and host guests:

• Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and your social media handle if you contact us through Instagram or WhatsApp.
• Booking details — the dates you ask about or book, which unit you are interested in, how many guests are travelling, arrival times, and any requests or preferences you tell us about.
• Messages — the content of the messages you send us, and our replies, so that we have a record of the conversation and can follow up properly.
• Website usage — basic technical information such as your browser type and the pages you visited, used only to keep the site working.

We do not collect payment card details through this website. Payments are handled separately, and where a booking is made through a platform such as Airbnb, that platform handles the payment and holds its own records under its own privacy policy.

How we collect it

• When you fill in the booking request form on this website.
• When you message us on WhatsApp or Instagram.
• When you email or call us.
• When a booking platform such as Airbnb passes us the details of a reservation.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Reply to your enquiry and tell you what is available and what it costs.
• Manage your reservation, including arrival arrangements and any extras you ask for such as airport transfers, excursions or studio time.
• Send you practical messages about a stay you have booked — for example a message before you arrive, or a request for feedback after you leave.
• Keep our own records of bookings and conversations so that our team can pick up where a colleague left off.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Automated replies

Some replies to routine questions — for example whether a particular unit is free on particular dates — may be prepared or sent automatically by software we use to manage guest messages. A member of our team remains responsible for the conversation and can step in at any point. If you would prefer to speak to a person directly, just say so in your message and we will take over.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it is necessary to run the property, and only with providers who are bound to protect it:

• Messaging platforms — Meta Platforms, Inc., for messages you send us through WhatsApp or Instagram.
• Booking platforms — such as Airbnb, where your reservation was made through them.
• Our hosting and software providers — who store the data on our behalf so that our booking and messaging system can operate.
• Local partners — only where you have asked us to arrange something for you, such as an airport transfer or an excursion, and only the details needed to arrange it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet any legal or accounting obligations that apply to us. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

How we protect it

Access to guest information is limited to the people who need it to do their job. Our systems are protected by individual accounts and passwords, and information sent between your device and our systems is encrypted in transit. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
• Stop sending you messages that are not about a booking you have made.

To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below. You can also stop receiving WhatsApp or Instagram messages from us at any time by blocking the account or asking us to stop.

Children

Our website and booking service are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Where children are travelling as part of a group, we only hold the details the booking guest chooses to give us.

International transfers

We are based in the Dominican Republic, and some of the providers we rely on — such as messaging and hosting services — store information on servers in other countries, including the United States. Where that happens, we rely on those providers' own safeguards to protect your information.
